This deck had Wolmans clear on it, mildew was growing underneath coating and needed to be removed with a chemical stripper.
I have had excellent results with Wolman strippers, so this was what I used for this project.
Now the old coating was removed, I washed any remaining mildew from the wood.
The deck dried for 3 days before I came back to power sand all surfaces with 60 grit paper.
The wood was now ready for a custom mix of Clove brown and natural One Time 7 year product.
Looks like new
The homeowner was gong to just replace his deck, until I said I can make it look new again.
I soaked the deck in deck cleaner and oxygenated bleach, then carefully powerwashed not to remove the soft fast growth wood.
The deck dryed for several days and was ready for a heavy grit power sanding, 36 and 60 grit paper used, this ensures the wood pores remain open for deep encapsulating.
Finally entire deck was treated with One Time natural 7 year treatment.
Home owner loved the look and cost.
This was a fun yet dirty restoration of a tired shed.
I decided to start from scratch and remove as much failed coating as possible, I achieved this by grinding with 36 grit and smoothed it all with an orbital sander.
Washed shed of dust and mildew with cleaner.
Repaired broken door hinges, they were rust converted and then sprayed with rustoleum.
Shellacked all knots and applied 2 heavy coats of PPG self priming Manor Hall Timeless satin, Timeless does what SW Duration Claims to do!
This was a small condo in Franklin with rooms with colors that didn't work.
I color coordinated the whole project for the client.
Walls and trim were sanded smooth and cleaned, caulking and spackle where needed.
All rooms received Muralo pure white on ceilings, Muralo ultra semigloss white on doors and woodwork, California 2010 eggshell for walls.
As an option we decided to go fresh with new brushed nickel door hardware (doorknobs and hinges).
Client was blown away with new interior
This was an older house that showed its age, lots of stress cracks on ceiling and walls which were properly repaired.
Washing remaining wallpaper paste from walls.
All polyurethaned trim and doors were sanded down for proper adhesion, and then full prime with Aqua lock.
Heavy spackling and caulking finished the prep for the rooms.
All surfaces received 2 coats of Muralo ultra.
I did a walk through with home owner and choose neutral colors.
The rooms now are bright and look bigger.
